Carrie McCabe, PA-C
Carrie McCabe, PA-C has been a licensed Physician Assistant since 2017 and board certified through the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She graduated with her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant studies from the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, IN. Prior to being a PA, Carrie worked as a paramedic/fire fighter for EMS and also as a pediatric critical care paramedic.
Carrie has a wide array of experience including pediatric care, adult wellness and acute care, emergency medicine and preventative medicine. She is passionate about working as a team with her patients to give them the best care so they can attain their best personal health and well-being. She is compassionate about preventative medicine and educating her patients and families.
Carrie resides in Algonquin with her husband and 2 boys. She enjoys spending time with her family watching her boys play their music and sports, along with traveling, doing things outdoors, and volunteering with the schools and church.
Ashley Cochran, FNP
Ashley Cochran graduated Magna Cum Laude from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1991, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She then graduated from Loyola University - New Orleans in 2000, earning a Master’s of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner degree, where the faculty awarded her the Most Outstanding Student Award. Ashley is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Ashley has had a wide array of experiences as a nurse, including surgical intensive care, neonatal intensive care, endoscopy, child/adolescent psychiatry and public health. Her FNP career includes extensive experience within the emergency room, immediate care, occupational health, pediatrics, allergy, asthma and immunology. She is passionate about caring for children and teens. Ashley is a compassionate health care provider, who is invested in building partnerships with her patients in order to attain their best personal health and well-being.
Ashley resides in Crystal Lake with her husband and three children. Outside of her career, she enjoys being a devoted mother, volunteering at her church, being outdoors and reading.
James R. Nikoleit, MD
Dr. James Nikoleit graduated with honors from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana campus with a Bachelors degree in Biology. He earned his Medical degree from the University of Illinois in 1986. He completied his internship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and his residency at Micheal Reese Hospital, an affiliate of the University of Chicago. Dr. Nikoleit is board certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Nikoleit has been in private practice since 1989 and is one of the founders of Dupage Medical Group. Dr. Nikoleit has been very involved with the Shriners Hospital in Chicago, having served as the Vice Chairman of the board.
His philosophy of care is "Listening to the patient is the best skill a physician can have.” He is interested in general internal medicine, including; blood pressure management, diabetes, asthma, general health physicals for preventive medicine and sports related injuries.
Peggy Preidis, ARPN
Peggy received her Masters of Science in Nursing and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Northern Illinois University School of Nursing in 2005.
Peggy has extensive experience which includes emergency room nurse, Flight for Life nurse, and Trauma Coordinator at Northern Illinois Medical Center. She also previously worked as a Paramedic/Firefighter at the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department. Peggy has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in the local community since 2006.
Peggy has lived and worked in McHenry county her entire medical career. She enjoys working with patients and building a trusting relationship with them.
Kevin M. Cronin, MD
Kevin Cronin graduated from the University of Illinois in 1994 with a Master of Science in biology. He received his medical degree in 1998 from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his four year residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois in 2002.
Dr. Cronin has been in private practice in McHenry County since 2002, and founded Cronin Medical Group in 2010. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
He has served as an Assistant Medical Student Dean for Rosalind Franklin University and has been a member of the Medical Education committee at Centegra Hospital. Dr. Cronin has an active interest in community health and in pre-operative medicine.
Dr. Cronin lives with his wife and children in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
